Baruntse Peak. 7129m
Baruntse is in between of Everest and Makalu Mountain at the height of 7129m. Since, Colin Todd and Geoff Harrow had first ascended this mountain on 30 May 1954, many climbers have used this route and Climbed successfully.
The south -East Ridge of Baruntse is little bit difficult because of being straightforward hard ways to climb. There are hard sections of 50 Degree’s elevation with a prominent ice cliff to be climbed facing the risk of avalanches. The climbers have succeeded the mountain mostly in the spring season because of being the best season for climbing due to safety reason. But some climbers have reached on its top in the autumn season as well.
The expedition starts with Kathmandu – Lukla flight and approximately 11 days trekking on foot to Baruntse Base camp. Base camp of Baruntse is very near to Pacha Pokhari at the height of 5200m. This Baruntse can be climb through Arun valley from Makalu Base camp as well.
